Sanctuary Cities

The sanctuary cities of Chelsea and Lawrence, Massachusetts, deny that they “hinder” federal law enforcement by “deprioritizing local law enforcement participation in federal civil immigration investigations and detentions.” Bringing a federal complaint against President Donald Trump, they say they can’t afford to let Trump’s unconstitutionally vague executive order cripple them with the loss of federal funding.
