Although two German companies still owe $14 million in fines for participating in a plastic-bag cartel, the European General Court ordered the EU to pay them $53,000 in damages for the five years it took to hear their appeal.

LUXEMBOURG – Although two German companies still owe $14 million in fines for participating in a plastic-bag cartel, the European General Court ordered the EU to pay them $53,000 in damages for the five years it took to hear their appeal.

The court’s ruling was not made available in English by press time.
