2nd Amendment: No guns after DV misdemeanor

NASHVILLE — The Tennessee Court of Criminal Appeals found the trial court properly denied a criminal defendant’s motion to dismiss, as the Tennessee statute prohibits possession of a firearm for a misdemeanor domestic violence crime and is constitutional. The statute aligns with historical traditions of disarming those who pose a threat to the public safety. Affirmed.
