SAN FRANCISCO (CN) – Karaoke machines require more copyright licenses than jukeboxes, the **9th Circuit ruled. In a question of first impression, the court dismissed Leadsinger Inc. ‘s challenge of additional licensing fees for karaoke machines that display lyrics along with the music. See ruling.
