MANHATTAN (CN) – Romania extradited two naturalized U.S. citizens to face charges of conspiring to sell surface-to-air missiles to the Taliban, to be used to protect that group’s heroin labs in Afghanistan. Alwar Pouryan and Oded Orbach were arrested in Romania. Five co-defendants were arrested in Liberia and brought to the United States in February.
