AR video games

SAN FRANCISCO — A federal court in California ruled against NantWorks, a technology firm that says the video game developer Niantic — which created the hit mobile game Pokémon GO as well as a similar Harry Potter spinoff title — infringed its patents related to augmented reality technology. The patents are not an inventive concept, says the court, so they are not valid.
