NEW ORLEANS (CN) — The Fifth Circuit revived a referee’s civil rights claim against a high school football coach who instructed his team to hit the ref in retaliation for bad calls and “racial” comments. The school district cannot be held liable, but the coach “cannot escape liability by ordering students to conduct the attack.”
