PHOENIX (CN) – Bashas Food, a major grocery chain in Arizona, has filed for bankruptcy, listing more than $100 million in debts. More than 10,000 jobs will be lost, industry-watchers say, and Bashas is expected to close 10 stores to try to stay in business. Closure of its Chandler, Ariz., headquarters alone is expected to cost 1,000 jobs.
