LAS VEGAS (CN) – Former WBC heavyweight champ Samuel Peter – “The Nigerian Nightmare” – says promoters stiffed him on broadcasting rights for a March fight in his home country of Nigeria. Peter says he was promised half of all net sales received from Nigerian television rights, but was not paid. Peter lost the March 27 fight to Eddie Chambers by majority decision. His complaint in Clark County Court does not specify how much Peter is owed for the television rights. Peter is represented by Theodore Parker with Parker Nelson.
