A federal court in Texas dismissed a woman’s contract and fraud claims against Brad Pitt and his nonprofit entities. The woman, who says she had a “romantic” relationship with the actor and even discussed marriage with him, claims he did not appear at certain fundraising events she organized despite receiving payments to do so. Pitt says he never had any contact with the woman and never received payments from her.

SHERMAN, Texas — A federal court in Texas dismissed a woman’s contract and fraud claims against Brad Pitt and his nonprofit entities. The woman, who says she had a “romantic” relationship with the actor and even discussed marriage with him, claims he did not appear at certain fundraising events she organized despite receiving payments to do so. Pitt says he never had any contact with the woman and never received payments from her.

The suit was dismissed for lack of jurisdiction.
