(CN) – State courts were closed by weather Tuesday in nearly 1 million square miles across the Midwest, Great Plains and Southeast: from Kalamazoo to Houston to New Orleans to Charleston, S.C. State courts were closed in Cleveland, Milwaukee, Indianapolis, Beaumont (Texas), Savannah, Ga., and environs, due to extreme cold, ice storms, wind and snow.
