WASHINGTON – Convicted Russian agent Maria Butina will be sentenced at 10 a.m. on April 26, a federal judge determined Thursday.
Butina had been cooperating with the government since December, when she pleaded guilty to a single count of conspiracy to act as a foreign agent. The 30-year-old admitted as part of that deal that she built connections within the National Rifle Association and other political groups to gain access to and influence over politicians in the United States.
