Calling it ‘murder’

SEATTLE (CN) — A federal judge in Washington allowed two police officers’ defamation claims to proceed against a Seattle council representative who called them racial profilers and murderers following the fatal shooting of a Black citizen. Their claims are not barred by the statute of limitations because they were tolled 90 days after asking the representative to retract her claim.
