Casino apps

SAN JOSE, Calif. — A federal judge in California partially dismissed claims against Apple, Google and Facebook over casino-like apps that allegedly violate consumer protection laws. The matter of liability depends on whether the companies’ platforms should be treated as the publishers or speakers of third-party content, and the issue is certified for appeal.
