Contempt over lies

WORCESTER, Mass. — A federal court in Massachusetts found a credit services company’s co-owner in contempt of court after he falsely told his company that the matter had not been adjudicated, threatened the company with legal action if it followed the court’s order to disburse funds to his sister’s firm, and failed to notify this court of a related lawsuit taking place in Florida. He must pay $20,000 in fines and attorney fees.
