Convicted Pennsylvania rep’s $1M restitution waived

PHILADELPHIA — An appeals court in Pennsylvania upheld the resentencing of former state representative John Perzel for multiple counts of criminal conspiracy, theft by failure to make required disposition of funds and restricted activities. His original $1 million restitution sentence is waived because the state did not preserve its sentencing challenge to the restitution amount before the trial court.
