Corrupt Louisiana policing

LAFAYETTE, La. — A federal court in Louisiana declined to dismiss a police lieutenant whistleblowing lawsuit alleging that the city and its police chief have engaged in pervasive corruption and misconduct, “including excessive use of force, neglect of inmate medical needs, mishandling of evidence, and misuse of funds.” His claims are supported by two years of discovery and multiple depositions.
