Credit conundrum

WILMINGTON, N.C. — A federal court in North Carolina denied Equifax’s motion to dismiss unfair credit reporting allegations brought by a consumer whose credit card company blocked her from accessing her account, the only way for her to pay off her debt. She disputed the issue, but the company continued to report her debt as delinquent to Equifax and other credit agencies. Because the companies did not took action and continued to report the debt, her claims may proceed.
