Criticizing Beshear

CINCINNATI — The Sixth Circuit upheld most of a Kentucky court’s decision to dismiss a cafe owner’s claims against Andy Beshear and other state officials, but reinstated the First Amendment retaliation claims the lower court had tossed. According to the suit, the state investigated and invoked a coffee shop’s liquor license shortly after its owner criticized Beshear’s Covid-19 restrictions on social media.
