Cyclist killer conviction

HOUSTON — A Texas appellate court affirmed the capital murder conviction of an Army veteran and drug user who crashed head-on into a group of cyclists participating in a road race, killing two and injuring another, because he heard voices telling him Russian spies were “after” him and believed the cyclists to be his pursuers.
