D.C. Circuit

ARBITRATION, JURISDICTION – An arbitrator found in favor of a union representing Howard University police officers in a labor dispute with the university. The school challenged the arbitrator’s jurisdiction, but the D.C. Circuit found that Howard may not object to the jurisdiction of the arbitrator because the university failed to raise this issue during arbitration. See ruling.
