Damages for church retreat victim

LAFAYETTE, La. — A federal court in Louisiana gave default judgment and a $606,204 award to a university student who says she was sexually assaulted on a church retreat by a French national, who since evaded service. France does not extradite its citizens, but an international “red notice” warrant has been issued for his arrest and extradition, should he travel outside his country.
