Damages Sought For PEMEX Oil Explosion

LUFKIN, Texas (CN) – Twenty-two oil workers died and 63 were injured in an Oct. 23, 2007 accident on a PEMEX oil platform in the Gulf of Campeche, and survivors say some U.S. companies were involved in the catastrophe.     Defendants in the federal complaint are Gulf Coast Marine & Associates, Battelle Memorial Institute, Baker Hughes, Glen Carter, and Petroleos Mexicanos.      Plaintiffs are represented by Kurt Arnold of Houston.
