Delusional and armed

CONCORD, N.H. — The New Hampshire Supreme Court upheld a judgment issued in favor of a firearms dealer and the New Hampshire Department of Safety, which is in charge of performing background checks prior to firearms sales. Two police officers sued the gun seller and government after a man shot them after buying a gun, despite having a background of misdemeanor domestic violence charges, a schizophrenia diagnosis and documented delusional behavior. His background did not disqualify him from owning a firearm under federal law.
