Dementia a Per Se SSA Disability?

WASHINGTON (CN) – The Social Security Administration is holding a hearing on Early-Onset Alzheimer’s Disease and related dementias to determine if they can easily be identified as meeting the definition of disability under the Social Security Act, with minimal objective medical information.     The agency requests information about possible methods of identifying adults with the diseases, and the advisability of making findings of disability based on their having the disease.
