WASHINGTON (CN) – The Department of Energy wants to see if metal halide lamps between 150 and 500 watts, mostly used in industrial applications, can be made more efficient. A public meeting will be held in January 2010 to discuss the framework the department will use to evaluate the available technology and economic feasibility of increased efficiency.
