Four maintenance workers sued the Montclair School District and their supervisor, Benny Maffucci, saying Maffucci abused them as “f—ing Hispanics,” and had a “No Spanish” policy, because “this is America,” in Essex County Court, Newark.           Robert Nelson claims Jugs Sports cut him off after paying him royalties for 20 years for his marketing ideas, including coming up with “Big League Chew,” in a $525,000 demand in Multnomah County Court, Portland, Ore.           Class-action complaints alleging Labor Code violations have been filed against these defendants: 99 Cents Only Stores, and Primex Clinical Laboratories, in Los Angeles Superior Court; Arthur J. Gallagher and Company/Gallagher Bassett Services, on behalf of claims reps and examiners, in San Diego Federal Court; Maysuri Restaurant, in Manhattan Federal Court; No Hope Logging, in Hattiesburg, Miss., Federal Court; Advanced Electrical Systems, in Essex County Court, Newark; and Salyer American and SK Foods, in Monterey County Court, Calif.     (Companies not separated by commas are defendants in the same case.)
