Enhanced sex offender sentence

MANHATTAN — The Second Circuit upheld a New York federal court’s 22-year sentencing of a man who sexually abused his then-girlfriend’s 14-year-old daughter. The evidence supported enhancing his sentence because he held a position of trust over the victim, he destroyed text messages and explicit photos he made the girl send, and he failed to even admit to having intercourse with her, though she estimates it happened some 400 times over 18 months.
