The Herrick Co. claims The Weinstein Co. defrauded it by failing to inform it of a $63 million payment in a distribution deal, in a complaint in West Palm Beach Federal Court involving the movies “No Where Boy,” “King’s Speech,” and “Escape From Planet Earth.”           Romell Caldwell claims these defendants used his copyrighted tune in their album, “Dim Hits,” in Charlotte, N.C., Federal Court: Atlantic Recording Corp., Slip N Slide Records, and Algernod Lanier Washington aka Plies.
