Fed Repeals Reg Barring Interest on Business Accounts

WASHINGTON (CN) – The Federal Reserve has repealed Regulation Q, a depression era rule to encourage businesses to invest their liquid assets rather than keep their money locked up in banks.      Regulation Q barred member banks from paying interest on demand accounts held by businesses.     Click the document icon for this regulation and others.
