Fizz fight

SAN FRANCISCO — A federal court in California declined to issue an injunction in the trademark dispute between the social media company Fizz Social and the food-delivery service Instacart over its “Fizz by Instacart” app. The court held that there are too many differences between the two services to cause reasonable consumers to confuse them: Their logos are in different fonts and colors, they provide distinct services from one another, and several other companies use “Fizz” as part of their brand too.
