NEW ORLEANS — A couple living in Texas were properly convicted of forced labor and other charges for forcing a girl from Guinea to work in their home for 16 years from the time she was 9 years old, the Fifth Circuit ruled . The couple, who abused and neglected the girl, failed to prove that the forced labor statute’s definition of “serious harm” is unconstitutionally vague or overbroad.
