Foreign OCS Operations

WASHINGTON (CN) – Foreign oil rigs, floating facilities and ships planning to work on the Outer Continental Shelf will have to notify the National Vessel Movement Center upon arrival, once a planned U.S. Coast Guard regulation goes into effect. Foreign rigs and vessels would need to submit detailed information about their operations before setting up.           The rule is meant to mirror regulations for domestic operations, to enhance safety and security in the region.
