Frozen Assets

WASHINGTON (CN) – The Office of Foreign Assets Control has put teeth into presidential orders from 2005 and 2006 by authorizing fines for those who attempt to trade with people and businesses in the U.S. when they have been blocked from doing so because they have contributed to the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction or the conflict in Côte d’Ivoire.
