SEATTLE (CN) – Parents of a high school sophomore say the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association violated their son’s civil rights by denying him athletic eligibility on a “hardship transfer” from Garfield to O’Dea High School because pressure from gangs at one school gave him depression and other problems.
