Healthy gut through lemonade?

SAN FRANCISCO — A California federal judge threw out a class action accusing KeVita Inc. of falsely advertising its prebiotic sparkling lemonade drinks as having gut health benefits. The consumer argued that the drinks have too little fiber and too much sugar to have any benefit to an individual’s gut biome, but the studies on which she relied do not support her claim about how much acacia fiber must be consumed to provide prebiotic benefits.
