Illinois labor protections

CHICAGO — A federal court in Illinois will partially enjoin the state from implementing new labor protections for temp workers in the state that were signed into law by the governor last year. The mandates mandate minimum pay for temp workers who work a job for more than 90 days, discourage incentives to break strikes, and allows watchdog third parties to pursue labor actions against temp agencies. The state and temp agencies must submit a proposed preliminary injunction order by March 15.
