Immunity for mayor?

NEW ORLEANS — A citizen who says she faced retaliation after circulating two photos she took of New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell and her then-police bodyguard sitting together on the balcony of a restaurant must amend her complaint. While the citizen sufficiently stated a First Amendment retaliation claim related to the mayor allegedly fabricating evidence to obtain a restraining order against her, the citizen must address the mayor’s argument that she is protected by qualified immunity.
