After a woman’s husband died of a heart attack while breaking up a dog fight, the Life Insurance Company of North America refused to pay her benefits, claiming it did not cover “any condition for which the insured received medical treatment, care, diagnosis or advice, or of which symptoms were manifested within the preceding 12 months,” in Sherman, Texas, Federal Court.
