Let them govern

MADISON, Wis. — The Wisconsin Supreme Court ruled in favor of the state’s governor, who says that Republicans in the Legislature have been improperly blocking funds for a Department of Natural Resources land preservation program even though the funding had been approved in the budget. By impeding the executive’s ability to administer the law, the legislators had violated the state’s constitutional commitment to the separation of powers.
