Life insurance class action

CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. — A federal court in New York dismissed a class action against a life insurance broker that alleged it tricked policyholders into replacing their whole life insurance policies with more expensive policies that had lower rates of return and higher risk. Most of the class’s claims are time-barred and its racketeering claim fails because they did not show the broker and insurer acted in concert.
