Louisiana library coup

NEW ORLEANS — The St. Tammany Parish Council will face First Amendment retaliation claims brought by the five former members of its library board, who were ousted and replaced after their speeches during board meetings related to minors’ access to queer literature at parish libraries. The parish council arguably singled out the board members for their protected speech.
