LUXEMBOURG - Latvia jumped the gun by removing a governor of the national bank from office on suspicion he traded his influence for the bank’s benefit without ever offering proof he’d done so, a magistrate for the European Court of Justice said Wednesday.
Advocate General Juliane Kokott’s advisory opinion for the EU high court was only made available in French and Latvian.
