LOS ANGELES – (CN) A doctor who attended Michael Jackson before his death filed a libel action Tuesday against another doctor who also worked for Jackson and who said in an interview that the first doctor had supplied the drugs the contributed to the pop star’s death. Arnold W. Klein, M.D. sued Steven Hoefflin, M.D. in Los Angeles Superior Court. Plaintiff claims that defendant has falsely held himself out as speaking for Jackson’s mother and has defamed plaintiff by, among other things, stating in an interview that Klein was the source of a drug that contributed to Jackson’s death.
