WASHINGTON (CN) – The Federal Housing Finance Agency plans to issue an executive compensation regulation for officers of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, the Federal Home Loan Banks, and the Office of Finance. The agency seeks public comment regarding this rule. The watchdog agency was created a year ago to ensure that mortgage banks are capitalized adequately, foster resilient national housing finance markets, and maintain activities and operations that are consistent with the public interest.
