Negligent pharmacology

OAKLAND, Ca. — A federal judge in California allowed negligence claims to proceed against the makers of the anti-inflammatory drug montelukast, brand-name Singulair, because it can cause neuropsychiatric injuries, as it crosses the blood-brain barrier.
