Nuns Accused Of Abusing Student

MONTREAL (CN) – Nuns at Les Soeurs de la Congregation de Notre-Dame physically, sexually and emotionally abused Carole Thompson at the Villa Maria boarding school, Thompson claims in Montreal Superior Court. When Thompson was between 6 and 8 years old, she claims the sisters refused to let her go to the bathroom at night, forcing her to pee her bed.    They also allegedly beat her in the mornings, sexually molested her and forced her to eat “every morsel” of food on her plate until she had to vomit. She claims one nun, who has since been institutionalized, lost her temper and shook Thompson by her ears, causing an ear to tear.     Thompson says she was traumatized by the abuse, and her life has been filled with “turmoil and emotional distress” as a result. She allegedly failed school and attempted suicide several times before she was 18. She seeks at least $500,000 in damages and is represented by Green Glazer Nadler Danino. See complaint.
