VALDOSTA, Ga. — A federal court in Georgia ruled that a blogger who runs a site about the global pecan market must pay the owner of a business that sells nuts $60,000 in damages for making libelous statements about the owner, including that he co-founded a business that was accused of stealing millions of dollars’ worth of pecans from growers.
