BRIGHTON, Colo. (CN) – A member of the First Love Church Healing Center says he was pinned down and spanked 20 times with a two-by-four for looking at a website. Joshua Sim says in Adams County District Court that pastor Sun Hui East had five church members pin him down to the alter of the church and take turns hitting him on his bare buttocks and lower back for looking at an unspecified website that East didn’t approve of. Sim says defendants Jim White, Thomas Earl, Jason Frank, David Flores and Victor Cruz, all employees at the church, hit him four times each while the others held him down until East called them off. Sim is seeking damages for negligence and is represented by Michael Nimmo with Hillyard, Wahlberg, Kudla & Sloane.
