Paula Abdul Sues|Tanning Parlor for Sunburn

LOS ANGELES (CN) – Paula Abdul sued a tanning parlor she claims gave her a “severe second- or third-degree burn on a portion of (her) left thigh.”     Abdul sued Uvasun West on Thursday, in Superior Court.     She claims she was burned on Jan. 20, 2012, when she paid for and received a “SlimStar infrared body wrap treatment.”     Abdul says the L.A. tanning parlor “carelessly and recklessly” gave her “severe and painful burns over her body, with an especially severe second- or third-degree burn on a portion of plaintiff’s left thigh.”     She seeks damages for pain and suffering, physical and nervous strain, lost earning potential and negligence. She claims some of her injuries are permanent.     She is represented by Wilkie Cheong with Cheon, Denove, Rowell & Bennett.
